IT IS WELL PRINT

Original A4 hand lettered print featuring a hand painted abstract art background and the text ‘It is well'. These words come from the hymn by the same name by Horatio Spafford. 

The hymn, which speaks of finding peace in the midst of suffering and loss, has resonated with millions of people around the world for over a century. 

The lyrics of "It is Well with My Soul" were inspired by Spafford's own personal tragedy and his unwavering faith in God. The first verse reads:

When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot Thou hast taught me to say, “It is well, it is well with my soul! ”It is well with my soul! It is well, it is well with my soul!

This reminds me of the verse “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.”

In context, "I can do all things" is the ministry that God has sent Paul to do. He can persevere, share the gospel, and be content in any situation. Not on his own, but through Christ who strengthens him. And this is the same for us, in any and every situation we can rely on God’s strength and loving arms around us to bring us through each circumstance we face.
